Vowlet Terms of Use

These “Vowlet Terms of Use” (hereinafter referred to as the “Terms”) are formulated by LittleBoris (hereinafter referred to as “we”, “us”, or “Application Provider”) and apply to the Vowlet iOS application and its related features, content, updates, synchronization capabilities, notification capabilities, team sharing capabilities, and support services.

Please read these Terms carefully before downloading, installing, accessing, or using Vowlet. By downloading, installing, accessing, or using Vowlet, you indicate that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by these Terms; if you do not agree to all or part of these Terms, please do not download, install, or use Vowlet.

1. Relationship with Apple’s Standard EULA

Vowlet is drafted with reference to Apple’s “Licensed Application End User License Agreement” (Standard EULA). According to Apple’s current rules:

• If we do not provide a custom EULA for Vowlet in App Store Connect, Apple’s Standard EULA still applies when you acquire and use Vowlet through the App Store;
• In such cases, these Terms constitute supplementary instructions to Apple’s Standard EULA and apply in conjunction with it;
• If we publish these Terms or their updated versions as Vowlet’s custom EULA to App Store Connect in the future, these Terms will apply as Vowlet’s license agreement within the applicable regions, to the extent permitted by Apple’s mandatory rules;
• Regardless of whether a custom EULA exists, Apple’s App Store usage rules, platform policies, and applicable mandatory legal provisions may still apply simultaneously.

If these Terms conflict with the mandatory provisions of applicable laws, such mandatory provisions shall prevail.

2. Scope of Application

These Terms apply to:

• The Vowlet application itself;
• The features you access through the application, such as vow creation, editing, checking in, statistics, reminders, team sharing, profile display, and witness messages;
• The Vowlet Plus paid subscription service;
• Application updates, patches, subsequent versions, and feature enhancements, unless such updates or features are accompanied by separate terms;
• Instructions, policies, notices, and service rules related to Vowlet that we provide to you through the application or official website.

Matters related to Vowlet’s privacy processing are governed separately by the “Vowlet Privacy Policy”.

3. Nature of License and Scope of Authorization

Vowlet is licensed, not sold, to you.

Provided you comply with these Terms, Apple’s platform rules, and applicable laws, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, and revocable license that allows you to:

• Install, run, and use Vowlet on Apple-branded devices that you own or control;
• Use Vowlet in accordance with its currently available normal product features;
• Receive updates, fixes, and supplemental content that we provide in accordance with the law.

Except for the rights expressly granted to you in these Terms, all rights, title, and interest in and to Vowlet and everything related to it are reserved by us or the respective rightsholders.

4. Eligibility

You represent and warrant that:

• You have the full civil capacity required to enter into and perform these Terms, or you have obtained the consent of your legal guardian;
• You have the right to install and use Vowlet on the devices, Apple accounts, and related system environments you use;
• You will not use Vowlet in a manner that violates applicable laws, infringes upon the rights of others, or circumvents platform rules.

If you use Vowlet on behalf of an organization, team, or other entity, you further represent and warrant that you are authorized to accept these Terms on behalf of that entity.

5. What You Can and Cannot Do

5.1 You may

Subject to compliance with these Terms, you may use the following capabilities according to Vowlet’s designed purposes:

• Create, edit, and delete vows and tasks;
• Record check-ins involving text, images, location, exercise, or sleep;
• Use reminder, statistics, profile editing, and team sharing features;
• View your own information or information visible to you within a sharing relationship in the application.

5.2 You shall not

Unless explicitly permitted by applicable law, you shall not:

• Copy, sell, rent, lease, sub-license, distribute, or publicly transmit Vowlet;
• Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, attempt to extract the source code of, or bypass technical protection measures of Vowlet;
• Modify, adapt, or create derivative works of Vowlet, or remove any copyright, trademark, attribution, or other proprietary rights notices contained therein;
• Use Vowlet as part of a shared service, an agency operation service, an illegal scraping tool, a cheating tool, an intrusion tool, or any other unauthorized purpose;
• Disrupt the stability of the application, Apple services, or related infrastructure through automated means, mass requests, abnormal API calls, or other interfering methods;
• Use Vowlet to send, store, or transmit illegal, infringing, harassing, defamatory, threatening, discriminatory, obscene, malicious, fraudulent, or misleading content;
• Upload other people’s text, images, portraits, location information, health information, or other content without legal right or authorization;
• Impersonate others, forge sharing relationships, abuse the invitation mechanism, or use Vowlet to harass, stalk, threaten, or engage in other inappropriate behaviors against any individual or entity.

6. Account, Device, and System Services

The current version of Vowlet does not provide an independent username and password account system, but some of its features rely on Apple system services or device permissions, including but not limited to:

• iCloud / CloudKit;
• HealthKit;
• MapKit;
• Photo selection;
• Notifications;
• Location Services;
• StoreKit.

You understand and agree that:

• The above system services may be subject to Apple’s separate terms, privacy policies, account status, device status, network status, regional policies, and system limitations;
• If changes occur to your device, Apple account, iCloud status, network environment, or system authorizations, some or all of Vowlet’s features may be affected;
• We are under no obligation to guarantee that all features will always be available on all devices, all system versions, all regions, all languages, or all network conditions.

7. User Content

7.1 Content Ownership

Content you create, submit, upload, input, or display in Vowlet, including but not limited to:

• Nicknames, avatars, display profiles;
• Vow titles, descriptions, goals, task content;
• Check-in text, images, location records;
• Witness messages, notes, completion descriptions;
• Other content voluntarily provided by you,

in principle, remains the property of you or the original rightsholder, as between you and us.

7.2 Necessary License Granted by You

To enable Vowlet to operate normally, you grant us and the service providers necessary for us to provide Vowlet a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to process your content solely to the following extent:

• Store, copy, format, organize, sync, and display such content;
• Transmit and process such content within the Apple system services you have enabled;
• Display necessary content to relevant users within the scope of team sharing, partner recognition, or established sharing relationships;
• Perform technical processing necessary for backups, restoration, troubleshooting, security protection, and feature implementation.

This license is strictly limited to realizing Vowlet’s features, maintaining services, and fulfilling legal obligations, and does not constitute a general commercial buyout of your content.

7.3 Your Representations and Warranties

You represent and warrant that:

• You have lawful rights to the content you submit, or have obtained sufficient authorization;
• The content you submit will not infringe upon the intellectual property rights, privacy rights, portrait rights, reputation rights, data rights, or other legitimate rights and interests of any third party;
• You will not upload sensitive content that you have no right to disclose, share, or process;
• If your content involves third parties, you have obtained their necessary consent.

8. Team Sharing and Interactive Features

Vowlet allows you to establish partnerships or use team sharing capabilities within a certain scope via Apple CloudKit. You understand and agree that:

• The team sharing feature is designed to promote authentic, well-intentioned, and lawful collaboration;
• Once you proactively initiate sharing, accept an invitation, or maintain a sharing relationship, relevant display profiles, identity snapshots, and the minimum necessary content related to the sharing relationship may be seen by other users within the sharing scope;
• You should independently determine with whom to establish sharing relationships and bear a duty of care regarding the consequences arising from such relationships;
• We may, without prior notice, take restrictive measures against abuses of the sharing feature, malicious harassment, identity forgery, repetitive invitation spamming, infringing dissemination, or other inappropriate behaviors.

9. Privacy and Data Processing

You agree that we may process data related to your use of Vowlet in accordance with the “Vowlet Privacy Policy”.

The Privacy Policy is an integral part of these Terms. If there are more specific or stricter provisions regarding data processing matters in these Terms compared to the Privacy Policy, the stricter and more user-transparent provisions shall prevail.

10. External Services and Third-Party Environments

Vowlet may integrate or rely on external services or websites provided by us or third parties, including but not limited to:

• Apple iCloud / CloudKit;
• Apple HealthKit;
• Apple MapKit;
• Apple Photos picker;
• Apple Push Notification service;
• Apple StoreKit;
• Email feedback channels;
• Other legitimate third-party capabilities we may introduce in the future.

You understand and agree that:

• Your use of external services may simultaneously be subject to their own terms and privacy policies;
• We are not responsible for reviewing the content, accuracy, continuous availability, or suitability of all external services;
• Information relating to finance, health, medical matters, exercise, sleep, location, maps, and time, even if displayed through the app, may experience delays, inaccuracies, omissions, or incompleteness. Except as otherwise provided by applicable law, we make no guarantees regarding their absolute accuracy;
• We have the right to change, suspend, remove, limit, or stop access to any external services without liability, provided such actions are carried out within the limits permitted by law.

11. Health, Location, and Safety Disclaimer

Vowlet is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, treatment recommendations, emergency services, life-safety guarantee services, or professional legal/financial advice.

Regarding health and location-related features, you further agree that:

• Exercise, sleep, location, and reminder features are intended solely for general personal management, recording, display, and collaboration purposes;
• HealthKit, location verification, automatic check-ins, or statistical results should not be relied upon as a basis for medical, insurance, labor assessment, law enforcement, judicial, or other high-risk decision-making;
• You should not rely on Vowlet while driving, cycling, walking through dangerous areas, operating machinery, in emergency situations, or in any other scenarios requiring high attention;
• In the event of health abnormalities, location risks, safety accidents, or emergencies, you should immediately seek professional help rather than relying on Vowlet.

12. Updates, Feature Changes, and Future Features

We may, within the limits permitted by law:

• Release fixes, patches, updates, or upgrades;
• Modify interfaces, features, processes, sync logic, notification logic, or interaction methods;
• Add, restrict, suspend, or remove certain features;
• Adjust the business models, available regions, supported languages, access conditions, and compatibility requirements of future features.

Unless otherwise required by applicable law, we are under no obligation to continuously provide any specific version or permanently retain any specific feature.

If future versions introduce AI features, web versions, desktop versions, community capabilities, third-party statistics, or other new services, we may formulate separate supplemental terms, commercial terms, or specific rules.

13. Paid Features and Subscriptions

Vowlet offers a paid subscription service called “Vowlet Plus,” processed through Apple App Store’s in-app purchase mechanism.

13.1 Subscription Types and Entitlements

Vowlet Plus offers the following purchase options:

Individual:

• Monthly subscription: auto-renewed monthly
• Annual subscription: auto-renewed annually
• Lifetime purchase: one-time payment, valid permanently

Family Sharing:

• Monthly subscription: auto-renewed monthly, supports Apple Family Sharing
• Annual subscription: auto-renewed annually, supports Apple Family Sharing
• Lifetime purchase: one-time payment, permanently shared with family

Vowlet Plus entitlements include:

• Create an unlimited number of vows (free version is limited to 10);
• View complete statistics (weekly, monthly, annual); free version can only view weekly statistics;
• Priority access to new features added in the future.

13.2 Auto-Renewal and Cancellation

If you choose a monthly or annual subscription, the subscription will automatically renew at the end of the current billing period unless you cancel auto-renewal at least 24 hours before the end of the current period through your Apple account settings.

You can manage or cancel your subscription through the following methods:

• Tap the “Manage Subscription” button on the Vowlet paywall page;
• Go to Apple Account > Subscriptions in iOS system settings.

After canceling your subscription, you may continue to use all Vowlet Plus entitlements until the end of the current paid period.

13.3 Family Sharing

Family Sharing subscriptions or lifetime purchases can be shared with family members through Apple’s Family Sharing feature. The specific rules for Family Sharing are governed by Apple’s Family Sharing terms.

13.4 Pricing and Payment

Specific prices are as displayed in the Apple App Store and may vary by region, exchange rate, or promotional activities. All payments are processed through the Apple App Store; we do not directly collect or store your payment information.

13.5 Restore Purchases

If you have previously purchased Vowlet Plus, you can restore your entitlements through the “Restore Purchases” button on the paywall page. Restoring purchases does not incur additional charges.

13.6 Refunds

Refund requests must be processed through Apple’s refund process. You can visit Apple’s “Report a Problem” page (reportaproblem.apple.com) to request a refund. Refund policies are governed by Apple App Store’s refund rules.

13.7 Free Version Features

Users who do not subscribe to Vowlet Plus can use Vowlet’s core features for free, subject to the following limitations:

• A maximum of 10 vows;
• Only weekly statistics are viewable.

13.8 Applicability of Terms

The provisions in this section apply in conjunction with Apple App Store transaction rules, payment terms, and refund rules. If the provisions in this section conflict with Apple’s mandatory rules, Apple’s rules shall prevail.

14. Feedback and Suggestions

If you submit suggestions, ideas, feedback, bug reports, or feature requests to us, unless we otherwise agree in writing, you agree that:

• We may use such feedback for the purpose of improving Vowlet;
• We are not required to compensate you for the use of such feedback;
• Your submission of feedback does not constitute a confidential, fiduciary, partnership, employment, or other special legal relationship between both parties.

15. Support and Maintenance

Except as otherwise mandated by applicable law:

• We may determine at our sole discretion whether to provide maintenance, fixes, updates, user support, or response services;
• For Vowlet acquired through the App Store, Apple is not the provider of Vowlet’s daily maintenance and support;
• If you need to contact support, you may communicate with us through the contact information listed at the end of these Terms.

16. Suspension, Restriction, and Termination

16.1 Termination by You

You may stop using Vowlet at any time, and terminate your use by uninstalling the app, deleting related data, disabling related permissions, or stopping related sharing relationships.

16.2 Suspension, Restriction, or Termination by Us

If we reasonably believe that any of the following circumstances exist, we may, within the limits permitted by law, suspend, restrict, or terminate your access to all or part of Vowlet’s features:

• You violate these Terms;
• Your manner of using Vowlet may harm the legitimate rights and interests of us, other users, Apple, third-party service providers, or any third party;
• Your usage behavior is suspected of being illegal, infringing, fraudulent, harassing, abusive, or poses a security risk;
• It is necessary to fulfill legal obligations, or respond to regulatory requirements, judicial orders, or government requests;
• We are unable to continue providing services due to product sunsetting, technical adjustments, service migration, major security incidents, or force majeure.

16.3 Consequences of Termination

Upon termination:

• The license granted to you based on these Terms will terminate immediately;
• You must cease using Vowlet;
• You must delete or stop using related content that you no longer have the right to access;
• Provisions that by their nature should survive termination according to these Terms will continue in effect, including but not limited to intellectual property, limitation of liability, dispute resolution, and other continuing provisions.

17. Disclaimer of Warranties

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Vowlet and all related services, content, sync capabilities, reminder capabilities, and external service integrations are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis.

We make no express or implied warranties, including but not limited to:

• Merchantability;
• Fitness for a particular purpose;
• Continuous availability;
• Absence of errors, interruptions, or bugs;
• Compatibility with all devices, systems, regions, or network environments;
• Absolute accuracy, completeness, timeliness, or non-loss of data;
• Non-infringement of third-party rights.

You understand and agree that you use Vowlet entirely at your own risk. If applicable law does not allow the exclusion of certain statutory warranties, such exclusions will not apply to the corresponding extent.

18. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, punitive, or consequential damages, including but not limited to:

• Loss of profits;
• Loss of opportunities;
• Loss of data;
• Business interruption;
• Device failure;
• Damages caused by inaccuracies in health, location, schedule, or reminders;
• Losses resulting from the unavailability of sharing, sync, notifications, or external services.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, our total cumulative liability to you arising out of Vowlet or these Terms shall not exceed the higher of the following two amounts:

• The amount you actually paid to us or through official channels for Vowlet in the 12 months preceding the related claim;
• 50 US dollars.

If applicable law prohibits the above limitation of liability, such limitation will not apply to the extent prohibited.

19. Export Control and Compliant Use

You agree not to use, export, re-export, or transfer Vowlet in a manner that violates United States law, the laws of the jurisdiction in which you obtained Vowlet, or other applicable export control, sanctions, and trade restriction rules.

You further represent and warrant that you will not use Vowlet for any purposes prohibited by applicable law.

20. Intellectual Property

Except for the user content rights to which you are legally entitled, Vowlet and its related interfaces, designs, text, graphics, icons, code, structure, compilations, documentation, trademarks, logos, and other materials are protected by copyright, trademark, trade secret, and other laws.

Without the prior written permission of us or the relevant rightsholders, you may not use the above content in any manner, except as explicitly permitted by applicable law.

Vowlet may contain third-party components subject to open-source licenses. Such components are governed by their respective open-source licenses.

21. Dispute Resolution and Governing Law

Except as otherwise mandated by applicable law:

• These Terms are governed by the laws of the principal place of business of the Application Provider, excluding its conflict of law principles;
• Disputes arising from or related to these Terms, Vowlet, or your use of Vowlet shall be submitted to the competent court or dispute resolution institution at the principal place of business of the Application Provider;
• The “United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods” does not apply to these Terms.

If the consumer protection laws of your jurisdiction require the application of other laws or grant you non-waivable rights, those laws and rights shall take precedence.

22. Severability, Assignment, and Non-Waiver

• If any part of these Terms is deemed invalid, illegal, or unenforceable, the validity of the remaining provisions shall not be affected;
• You may not assign any rights or obligations under these Terms without our prior written consent;
• Our failure to exercise or delay in exercising any right under these Terms shall not constitute a waiver of that right;
• We may assign our rights and obligations under these Terms within the limits permitted by law due to business restructuring, reorganization, mergers, acquisitions, asset transfers, or legal requirements.

23. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms due to changes in laws, product updates, business adjustments, risk control, or compliance requirements. The updated Terms may be published through one or more of the following methods:

• In-app pages;
• Official website pages;
• App Store pages;
• Version release notes;
• Other reasonable notification methods.

If you continue to use Vowlet after the Terms have been updated, you are generally deemed to have accepted the updated Terms. If you do not agree to the updated Terms, you should stop using Vowlet.

25. Explanatory Terms for the Current Version

To avoid obvious conflicts between the Terms and the current implementation, as of May 6, 2026, the current version is specifically described as follows:

• The core data capabilities of the current version primarily rely on device local storage and Apple iCloud / CloudKit;
• The current version utilizes HealthKit read-only access, location permissions, notifications, local reminders, Apple Maps-related capabilities, and CloudKit team sharing capabilities;
• The current version offers Vowlet Plus paid subscription service, including individual and family sharing monthly, annual, and lifetime purchase options;
• No third-party advertising SDKs, third-party analytics SDKs, or independent account/password systems are present in the current version;
• If future versions add communities, AI, web versions, or other extended capabilities, we may make adjustments through supplemental terms or updated versions without violating applicable laws.
